The Duke of Cambridge - Organic Pub

Welcome to the website of the UK’s first and only gastropub to be certified by the Soil Association. We opened in 1998 and our ethical business ideals remain the same today: we serve delicious organic food carefully sourced from independent producers, while keeping our food miles super-low. In fact, 80% of our fresh produce comes from the Home Counties.

PLEASE NOTE: The Duke of Cambridge will be hosting judging sessions for the Soil Association 2009 Food Awards on tuesday 7 July, wednesday 8 July and thursday 9 july. We will be closed for lunches on these days, sorry for any inconvenience.

This year we are celebrating 10 years of sustainable and ethical business!
Everything we sell is organic and of superb quality – from our home-baked bread to our homemade ice cream and pickles. We change our menu daily according to what’s available – if something isn’t in season, you won’t find it on the menu.
Our beer is brewed in (or close to) London. Our fish buying policy is approved by the Marine Conservation Society (MCS), and we serve sustainable, local Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fish whenever possible. Our meat comes from small farms where the highest standards of animal welfare are respected.
We never, ever airfreight anything.
We are obsessed with having the lowest carbon footprint possible: we re-use and recycle wherever possible, and our electricity is wind and solar generated.
